Joyce Jin (they/them/他) is a first generation Asian-American multidisciplinary designer, visual, and tattoo artist from New York. They are a virgo sun, leo moon, cancer rising, lover of vegan chicken nuggets, and a cat mom. They graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a concentration in Theory from Cornell University in 2021.
Joyce’s work is informed by their architectural and art background and aims to use design as a tool for building community and doing social good. Their practices are built on intimacy, collaboration, intention, and slowness. They have a deep need and desire to explore notions of utopia/heterotopias, worldbuilding, storytelling and how they intersect with identity, belonging, asianness, and queerness. Ultimately, their goal is to enact everyday queer utopias and explore the imagination of their inner-child.
